The first meeting of the 2009-2010 CIAT Executive Council was held in Panama City on July 20 and chaired by Mr. Juan Hernández Batista, General Director of Internal Taxes of the Dominican Republic.  The other Council members are the representatives of Argentina, Bermuda, Colombia, France, Guatemala, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles and Uruguay.

The Executive Secretary, Dr. Claudino Pita and staff members; namely: Directors, Managers and Area Coordinators reported on the activities carried out in the previous period and main projects currently in process, in addition to the results and budgetary execution indicators and Financial Statements of the period which concluded on June 30, 2009. Also discussed were other institutional management issues that had been scheduled for this meeting.

The General Director of Revenues of Panama, Mr. Luis Cucalón, attended the closing dinner as special guest.
