The VI Edition of the International Tax Administration and Public Finance Master
The closing seminar of the VI Edition of the International Tax Administration and Public Finance Master’s Program was held on June 7 through 18, 2010, at the headquarters of the Institute of Fiscal Studies. The main theme of the seminar was “The Tax Administrations and their adaptation to the new environment”.
The CIAT Executive Secretary, Mr. Márcio Verdi, participated in the opening ceremony and made a presentation on: “The main services provided by CIAT to the Tax Administrations of Latin America”.
This program, which is carried out with CIAT’s collaboration together with the AEAT, IEF, UNED, the CEDDET Foundation and AECID of Spain, is a means of collaborating with the Public Administrations of the Latin American countries, for assisting them in improving their capacity for designing and executing tax policies and the organization and procedures of their Tax Administrations.

The Master’s Program provides high level academic training in such areas as tax systems organization, planning and management, including the trends and best practices in this area, all based on an applied approach and from a comparative perspective. In sum, the purpose is to consolidate, by means of a high scale product, the efforts already devoted by different levels and institutions in the sphere of training in the Tax Administrations.
