The Superintendency of Tax Administration (SAT) of Guatemala advances in key areas with the support of the CIAT-SECO Cooperation Program
CIAT Executive Secretariat officials and consultants of the CIAT-SECO program visited the Superintendency of Tax Administration of Guatemala (SAT) on November 24, 2016. The purpose of the visit was to verify advances in the projects financed by Swiss Cooperation (SECO) within the framework of the CIAT-SECO Program, which is focused on strengthening the capabilities for controlling harmful transfer pricing manipulation and the redesign and optimization of the electronic invoicing system.
As a result of the significant advances, adjustments have been made in the transfer pricing area. Currently, advances are projected in the determination of new processes and criteria. Likewise, there has also been progress in the design of the new electronic invoicing system, which will allow access to a greater amount of data, optimum processing and integration with other SAT systems. Future work will be focused on the effective implementation which will require an investment in technology.
Once again we wish to recognize SECO for the valuable support given to our member countries and also highlight the commitment shown by SAT.
