On January 13 and 14, the CIAT Executive Secretariat was visited by the representative of Total Environmental Solutions  (SAMBITO-Spanish acronym), Eng. Isabel Sandoval, Manager of Sustainable Agriculture to assist this institution in becoming carbon neutral.

A working group has been established for carrying out this that will consist of the following phases:

• Phase  1  Undertake inventory of greenhouse gases
• Phase  2  Establish reduction goals, with measurement indicators
• Phase  3  Implementation of project for the reduction and compensations of emitters
• Phase  4  Validation and verification of the process
• Phase  5 Obtaining neutral carbon certification
