The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)  and the Inter-American Centre of Tax Administrations (CIAT) will host a BEPS High-Level Event as a side event to the CIAT and IOTA Technical Conference on 23 October 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal.

About the event

To date, 116 countries work together on an equal footing in the Inclusive Framework on BEPS to develop and implement solutions to the problems arising from the gaps in the international tax rules which Multinational Enterprises can easily exploit. Conservatively estimated, BEPS causes an annual revenue loss of between USD 100 and 240 billion, equivalent to 4-10% of global corporate income tax revenue.

This event will discuss thestrategic importance of BEPS in the current global tax context and will give Commissioners and Directors the opportunity to discuss their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges that arise from the implementation of the BEPS package within their Tax Administrations.
