Daniel Alvarez Estrada
Senior Public Sector Specialist at the Fiscal Policy and Sustainable Growth Unit of the World Bank, providing technical assistance and leading tax reform operations in countries form the East Asia and Pacific, South Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean regions. Mr Alvarez represents the World Bank at the Technical Assistance Group (TAG) of the Tax Administration Diagnostic Assessment Tool (TADAT) and at the OECD VAT Global Forum. Previously, Mr Alvarez served at the Revenue Policy Unit and the Tax Administration Service (SAT) of the Ministry of Finance of Mexico, and as research associated at the institutes for international development of the universities of Harvard and Duke. He graduated from the Autonomous Institute of Technology of Mexico (ITAM) and from the International Tax Program (ITP) at Harvard Law School.
