Management Skills and Public Management Course strengthens the Bolivian National Tax Service with the support of CIAT-SECO II Cooperation
The National Tax Service (SIN) of Bolivia has joined a training course on public management skills and public administration given by the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) with the support of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The course was held in the city of Cochabamba from November 8 to 10, 2023, and was attended by 31 SIN executives, both from the central and regional levels.
The objective of the course is to strengthen the management culture in tax administration, to guide and facilitate the connection between international experiences and the national scenario in Bolivia, and to adapt the approach to the productive community social economic model. To this end, several workshops were held on topics such as leadership and public management, management styles, teamwork, change management and risk management in the tax administration.
The President of the SIN, Mr. Mario Cazón, presided over the inauguration of the course, expressing his gratitude to CIAT for its constant support, and to SECO; and he showed his full commitment by attending all the sessions as one more student, which contributed to the achievement of the course objectives.
This activity is part of the cooperation that CIAT maintains with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) to support the development of the region’s tax administrations.
