Discover the International Observatory on eInvoicing: A Place for Collaboration and Innovation

The International Observatory on eInvoicing, part of the renowned Digital Innovation Observatories at Politecnico di Milano School of Management, one of the leading Italian Universities in the field of engineering and technological innovation.

The Observatory is a pioneering initiative dedicated to advancing the adoption, understanding, and innovation of electronic invoicing globally. Since its inception, the project has emerged as a critical third-party platform for research, dialogue, and collaboration among key stakeholders in the digital transformation of business processes.

What Does the Observatory Do?

The Observatory operates as an independent, third-party, qualified body that:

  • Conducts Research: It tracks global eInvoicing adoption, explores trends, and evaluates solutions for interoperability and innovation. This includes monitoring advancements like the EU’s VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) proposal.
  • Builds Community: It creates opportunities for dialogue among providers, institutions, and academics, fostering pre-competitive discussions and collaborative projects.
  • Spreads Knowledge: By organizing workshops, webinars, and releasing detailed reports, the Observatory disseminates knowledge to enhance understanding and spur innovation.
  • Develops Strategic Partnerships: Collaborating with leading organizations in the fields of eInvoicing, tax, and VAT, including the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT), the Observatory fosters innovative solutions and builds a robust international network.

With a focus on topics such as interoperability, emerging market trends, and the effects of mandatory eInvoicing on businesses, the Observatory’s efforts are instrumental in shaping the future of eInvoicing.

Why Participate?

The Observatory’s vibrant community includes corporations, institutions, academics, and policymakers, offering a unique opportunity to collaborate, share insights, and influence the direction of global eInvoicing initiatives. Participants benefit from access to research tools like detailed reports, and the chance to engage with thought leaders and industry experts.

A Call to National Experts: Share Your Expertise!

We invite national experts from across the globe to join our efforts and share their unique insights into the eInvoicing landscape within their respective countries. Your expertise in national policies, formats, and models is invaluable to our mission of fostering international interoperability and innovation. Through our partnerships with leading institutions like CIAT, we aim to establish a comprehensive understanding of eInvoicing systems worldwide. By contributing your knowledge, you’ll help shape the global conversation and advance the understanding of eInvoicing adoption and implementation.
