Latin American Tax Administrations Discuss Advances in International Taxation

On March 26, 2025, the Seminar on Advances in International Taxation for Latin America was held, jointly organized by the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
This activity was held virtually and brought together more than 500 public officials and representatives of regional organizations in Latin America.
At the Seminar, topics related to the implementation of the BEPS project in Latin America were presented and discussed, specifically Amount B of Pillar 1 and the global minimum tax of Pillar 2. The event culminated with a roundtable discussion on the future priorities of the participating countries, the steps needed to strengthen domestic resource mobilization, and the role of international cooperation in the coming years.
Thanks to the active participation from the audience both organizing institutions took with them feedback that will help shape the upcoming activities.
