The closing seminar for the 10th cohort of the online Master’s program in International Taxation, Foreign Trade, and Customs is being held in Panama City from 16 to 19 June. This Master is jointly offered by the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) and the Externado University of Colombia. Officials from tax administrations and the private sector in Colombia, Nicaragua, and Panama are participating participate in this program.

Olga Lucía González Parra, Director of the Department of Tax Law at the Externado University of Colombia, and Alejandro Juárez, Director of TAs’ Human Talent Development at CIAT, delivered the opening remarks for the seminar.

Throughout this week, CIAT will hold a series of presentations on current issues in the field of taxation.  We are honored to welcome Yaribeth Itsela González Ramírez, Associate Judge of the Administrative Tax Court of Panama, as a distinguished guest speaker.  Additionally, Martín Barciela, Confidentiality Coordinator (CDS Standard) at the General Revenue Directorate, will share his expertise.  Finally, José Luis Galíndez and Frida Medrano, external consultants on international taxation , will contribute to the program.

During the seminar, students on this Master’s programme will present their theses and update us on their progress.
