SAT of Mexico visits SII of Chile to know the simplified taxation system, in the framework of the EUROsociAL II Program.
Five officials of the Tax Administration Service (SAT) of Mexico visited the Internal Revenue Service (SII) of Chile to learn about the “simplified tax system” (MIPYME website) on July 22-24.
During this exchange visit, the officials from SAT could analyze the processes required for making use of the information generated from the MIPYME website in the control strategy. For this purpose, the data consultation mechanisms and procedures were treated in detail, as well as the linking and interaction of this program with the Electronic Invoicing procedure.
In this regard, the SAT will apply the knowledge based on the SII experience to supplement and adjust the functionality of their current processes and manage potential risks already experienced by the SII.
The visit was coordinated and organized by CIAT with the support of FIIAPP (International Latin-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies) and the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IEF) of Spain, as a part of the Voluntary Tax Compliance Action of the EUROsociAL II Program in which CIAT acts as an operating partner with the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT) and the IEF, promoting the exchange of experiences and knowledge between tax administrations in order to spread best practices and promote improvement actions among participating tax administrations.
