In the framework of the collaboration of CIAT and GIZ, last November 09 to 13 the Barbados Tax Administration was visited by an expert in order to provide technical assistance for strengthening the tax management information systems.

During the week of the assessment, the consultant met with the management team involved in this issue, which allowed him to gather information for a thorough examination of the two tax systems coexisting today (ETAX and VETAS).

The objective of the consultancy was to review the VETAS system to determine if the existing functionality could be developed to manage all taxes, or if the acquisition of a new system is required instead.
