CIAT participated in event on Collaborative Compliance – SUNAT-BID
CIAT’s Director of International Cooperation and Taxation, Mr. Gonzalo Arias, participated in the event “Collaborative Tax Compliance: The new way of relating between taxpayers and the Tax Administration”, organized by the National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT) in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and held on June 22 and 23, 2023.
In addition to CIAT, the event was attended by the IDB, the OECD, the Vienna University of Economics and Business and about 20 Tax Administrations from the Americas and Europe, who spoke about the advantages and benefits of the collaborative model and presented their experiences, among other relevant aspects.
For his part, the CIAT Director participated in the round tables on: “Transparency of the Tax Administration and evaluation of benefits in collaborative compliance”, “Evaluation of costs and benefits – Communication actions” and “The role of tax advisors in a Collaborative Compliance program”.
In this way, CIAT once again supports the strengthening of the tax compliance culture, promoting collaboration between taxpayers and the tax administration.
