On July 4-5, 2024, BRITACOM successfully held an event on “the development of BRITAs”.  This event was attended by representatives from 5 BRITAs (Astana, Beijing, Macau, Riyadh and Yangzhou), international tax administrations, as well as major international organizations such as the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and representatives of BRITACEG experts and embassies based in China, both in person and virtually.

The CIAT Executive Secretary, Mr. Márcio F. Verdi, presented a topic focused on collaboration and knowledge sharing among tax administrations. His intervention highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships and joint initiatives to strengthen capacities and improve efficiency in tax management. He highlighted how CIAT has played a crucial role in promoting international cooperation, providing resources and training to the tax administrations of member countries.
