We have been informed by our colleagues at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) of the passing away of Mr. William (Bill) Baker, former Commissioner and Executive Director of the Canada Revenue Agency. (RIP)

Mr. Baker actively participated for years in the institutional and technical activities of CIAT, in his capacity as Representative of Canada before CIAT, as Counselor of the Executive Council, and as President of CIAT in the period 2008 – 2009.

We inform this sad news to the CIAT member countries, and to the international tax community, expressing our expressions of regret and heartfelt condolences to his family and CRA colleagues, remembering, as if it were today, the tribute given to him by CIAT at the Closing Ceremony of the 52nd General Assembly, in Ottawa, Canada, May 2018.
