Launching of: “Self-diagnosis project for the promotion of ethics” of the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) of Ecuador
This event has evidenced the unconditional support of the General Director, as well as of the rest of the managerial body, who have great expectations in the process just begun.
With the participation of the General Director of the SRI, Economist Carlos Marx Carrasco Vicuña, the CIAT Director of Tax Studies and Training, Ms. María Raquel Ayala Doval, representing the Center’s Executive Secretary and high level officials of the Ecuadorian tax administration, the “Self-diagnosis Project for the Promotion of Ethics was launched in Quito, on September 27, 2010, with the presentation to the Steering Committee of the Internal Revenue Service of Ecuador.
This project which presents a dynamic, practical and integral vision of ethics in a tax administration implements the tools designed by CIAT.
This event has evidenced the unconditional support of the General Director, as well as of the rest of the managerial body, who have great expectations in the process just begun.
Currently, the officials who will be acting as facilitators in the application of the CIAT tools are undergoing the training process.
The self-diagnosis process will result in a “Plan for the promotion of Ethics at the SRI” wherein the strategic guidelines and objectives for an “Integrity Model” will be determined.
It should be noted that the 45th CIAT General Assembly will be held in the city of Quito and the main theme will be: “Tax Morale as determining factor in improving the effectiveness of the Tax Administration”.
