Official Master’s Degree in Public Finance and Financial and Tax Administration
This university postgraduate program is specifically intended for the Latin American sphere and its purpose is to improve the tax policy design and execution capacity. Thus, the program offers high level academic and professional training in such subjects as tax systems organization, design, planning and management, including trends and best practices in those areas; all of the foregoing from an applied approach and from a comparative perspective.
The program is intended for professionals from the Latin American sphere with higher education training and proven experience in the field of Law and/or Economics and with financial or tax practice in their respective countries, who may wish to render compatible their studies with the professional practice.
In order to participate in the Master’s program, it will be necessary to be aware of the requisites provided in article 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of October 29, which regulates official education in Spain, amended by RD 861/2010, of July 2.
Students holding a foreign degree may participate in the program following approval of said degree and rendering it compatible with the Spanish degree, in accordance with the procedure provided in the regulations in force.
Likewise, those having degrees from educational systems unrelated to the European Higher Education Area (EEES) may have access in Spain to official university Master’s programs, without the need for rendering compatible their degrees, following verification by the University that their level of education is equivalent to those of official Spanish university degrees and that they allow them in the degree issuing country to access Master’s programs. Such access will not in any case imply rendering compatible the degree held by the interested party, nor its recognition for purposes other than taking the Master’s courses.
The Master´s program has been designed to be completed in a single academic year. According to the European Higher Education Area (EEES), the academic workload consists of a total of 60 ECTS credits.
