PhD in Economics from the Complutense University of Madrid. Currently Lead Economist at the Inter-American Development Bank.  Previously, Head of Area in the Spanish Ministry of Finance and in the Statistical Studies Service of the Spanish Tax Agency. External tax advisor to the European Commission.  Consultant for various organizations, such as IDB, European Commission, UNDP, Unicef, SEGIB, Economic and Social Council of Spain, among others. Lecturer at various universities.
