Santiago Díaz de Sarralde
Santiago Díaz de Sarralde Miguez, current CIAT Tax Studies and Research Director has a PhD degree in Economics and has been professor of Applied Economics at the Rey Juan Carlos University. In addition to teaching and research activities, he has performed other functions such as: vice-dean of students, international relations and university extension in the Faculty of Juridical and Social Sciences; deputy general director of tax studies in the Institute of Fiscal Studies; head of the technical cabinet of the Territorial Financing Secretary General, tax studies and statistics director of the State Agency of Tax Administration; cabinet director of the State Secretary of Finance and Budget of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and consultant of institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
