From July 15 to 19, the opening seminars of the 2014/25 edition of the Official University Master’s Degree in Public Finance and Financial and Tax Administration were held for the groups of Receita Federal do Brasil and COMSEFAZ, with the participation of more than 60 Brazilian federal and state officials.

The seminar with officials from the Receita Federal do Brasil (RFB) was attended by the Undersecretary of Corporate Management of the RFB, Mr. Juliano Brito da Justa Neves; the Finance Counselor of the Spanish Embassy in Brasilia, Mr. Francisco Javier Sánchez Gallardo and the administrative coordinator of the master’s program, Valeria Moura Venturella.

The seminar with COMSEFAZ officials was attended by the Consul General of Spain in Rio de Janeiro, Ángel Vásquez Díaz de Tuesta; the Secretary of Finance of Rio de Janeiro, Leonardo Lobo and the Secretary of Finance of Pará, René de Oliveira e Sousa Júnior; the academic coordinator of the master’s program at COMSEFAZ, Dr. Celia Carvalho and the administrative coordinator of COMSEFAZ, Marcela Batista.

Both seminars included the participation of the UNED Master’s Program’s Director, Dr. José Manuel Guirola; the Director of the Institute of Fiscal Studies (IEF), Mr. Ignacio Corral, both from Spain, and the CIAT Training Manager, Ms. Maureen Pérez from Panama.
