2016 Meeting of Tutors
The CIAT Training and Development of Human Talent Directorate, under the auspices of the German cooperation GIZ, has held the 2016 Meeting of Tutors on February 22, 23 and 24 in Panama City.
The event counted with the participation of Alejandro Juárez, Maureen Pérez, Ana Bonilla and César Trejos, representing the CIAT Training Directorate. The attending tutors were Alfredo Collosa, Alfredo Saavedra, Alfredo Sosa, Ana Dolores Mantilla, Concepción Sacristán, Gabriel Sullivan, Héctor Castro, José Luis Galíndez, José Manuel Castro, Juan Francisco Villacís, María Fernanda Inza, Miguel Jativa, Ramón Servia, Rosa Elena Orna and Víctor Torres. All of them are experts on issues of Transfer Pricing, Exchange of Information, Tax Administration, Collection, Auditing, Tax Law, International Taxation, Tax Policy and Techniques, Ethics, Management, Human Resources, Public Finance and Tax Systems, and Customs.
With this meeting, we sought to highlight the work performed by tutors in CIAT courses, and strengthen the bonds of cooperation for the Training Program. Tutors were able to present the topics developed in CIAT courses and highlight the strengths of type of training programs, as well as also those weak points to be taken into account to improve the services.
One of the main objectives of this meeting was the beginning of the curriculum design for a specialized program of Auditors. This program will feature the necessary concepts and topics that an auditor must have in the context of the tax administration for the proper development of his or her functions and the tasks to manage. Using the DACUM technique, the tutors were selecting and discussing the issues that must be included in the program of Auditors.
The Executive Secretary of CIAT, Mr. Márcio F. Verdi, spoke at the closing session of this event. He thanked the tutors and stressed their importance in the role played by CIAT in strengthening the administrations through the training activities developed by the organization.
