Sponsored by the Secretariat of Federal Revenues of Brazil, the 48th CIAT General Assembly ihas been held in Rio de Janeiro, from May 5-8. with the participation of 32 CIAT member countries from 4 continents and over 80 delegations from other tax administrations, international organizations and institutions with whom CIAT carries out joint international cooperation activities.

The main theme of the technical sessions of this event is: The use of information and communication technologies in the tax administration.
