Equivalent Fiscal Pressure in Latin America and the Caribbean measures for the time period 1990-2021 the resources collected in the region, grouping four components: 1) tax revenues; 2) public contributions to social security, 3) compulsory contributions to private social security schemes; and 4) non-tax revenues from the exploitation of natural resources.

This report complements the update of the Equivalent Fiscal Pressure (EFP) DATA BASE for Latin America and the Caribbean for years 1990-2021 (available at CIATDATA) within the framework of the joint work project of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT).
