CIAT attend Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association (PITAA) Annual Conference
The 15th Annual Conference of the Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association (PITAA) was held in Nadi, Fiji, from 11 to 13 September, attended by sixteen (16) regional tax heads of its member countries.
Officials from International Monetary Fund – IMF, Inter- American Center of Tax Administration -CIAT, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development – OECD, and Oceania Customs Organization (OCO) were also attending the meeting.
PITAA is a member of the Network of Tax Organizations – NTO, established by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by 9 Tax Organizations at the CIAT’s 52nd General Assembly that took place in Ottawa, Canada 15-17 May 2018.
The NTO was created to provide a forum for cooperation and coordination between member organizations to strengthen tax administrations through peer learning and the sharing of experiences as well as through the provision of services, products and information.
Márcio F. Verdi, Executive Secretary of CIAT and Chair of NTO attended the PITAA 15th Annual Conference.
