On November 18, 2023, the VI Meeting of the CIAT International Taxation Network was held in Brasilia, with the support of EUROsociAL+ of the European Union, and the Receita Federal of Brazil (RFB). The purpose of this series of meetings is to identify useful initiatives for tax administrations in the field of international taxation, disseminate works published by CIAT and discuss initiatives in progress.

On this occasion, data was presented on CIAT’s Transfer Pricing Database, updated and published in October 2023, and on BEPS Monitoring, whose data updated to 2023 will be published in the first quarter of 2024. Alternatives on the structure of the Transparency and Information Exchange Database were discussed. The first draft of the CIAT-EUROsociAL+-IDB Maturity Model on the Capacity of Governments to Prevent and Resolve Domestic and International Disputes was presented for the first time. Sections of the CIAT Manual on International Tax Planning Control and the recent LATINDADD (Latin American Network for Economic and Social Justice) publications were also presented.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the tax administrations of Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Spain, Guatemala, Jamaica, and Uruguay. Representatives from the Argentinean Tax Court, LATINDADD, Tax Justice Network (TJN) and Foundation SES also participated.
