On June 3 and 4, 2025, the 2nd National Internal Control Meeting of Receita Federal of Brazil was held in Belo Horizonte, a space for training, exchange of experiences and reflection for the team dedicated to internal control in the Brazilian tax administration.

The meeting was attended by the Inspectorate of Services of the State Agency of Tax Administration (AEAT) of Spain and the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT), where, among other topics, the experience of the CIAT Ethics Tool Kit was shared, and in particular, the Self-Assessment Guide that had its pilot test in the National Directorate of Tax Revenues (DNIT) of Paraguay during 2024.

CIAT was represented by Alejandro Juárez, Director of Human Talent Development for the Tax Administrations, who is also a member of CIAT’s Permanent Ethics Committee.
