CIAT participated in the Committee on Fiscal Affairs’ (CFA) Advisory Group for Co-operation with Partner Economies

The CIAT Executive Secretary, Márcio F. Verdi  participated in The 15th annual meeting of the Committee on Fiscal Affairs’ (CFA) Advisory Group for Co-operation with Partner Economies took place at the OECD Headquarters in Paris, France  on November 2, 2017.

The Advisory Group plays a key role in developing the extended dialogue between OECD countries and non-OECD Partners in the tax area.

The Advisory Group met to focus directly on issues of specific relevance to the Global Relations Programme stakeholders – tax officials and regional organisations.

The meeting took stock of a rapidly changing international tax landscape and the importance of supporting developing countries as they seek to strengthen their capacities in these areas. Tackling tax evasion and avoidance is of particular interest as developing countries seek to mobilise domestic resources.
