CIAT participated in the Regional Seminar on International Taxation organized by the Receita Federal do Brasil, the World Bank, and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
On June 11-13, 2024, a Regional Seminar on International Taxation was held in the city of Brasilia, Brazil, sponsored by the Secretariat of the Federal Revenue of Brazil, the World Bank, and the IDB.
As part of this activity, aspects related to the design and implementation of international tax standards in Latin American and Caribbean countries were discussed, as well as topics related to tax transparency, transfer pricing, and the recommendations of the BEPS Action Plan, with a focus on the global minimum tax.
On this occasion, CIAT was represented by Ms. Tiffany Reyes, a specialist in international taxation from the Directorate of International Cooperation and Taxation, who presented the adoption of actions inspired by the BEPS Action Plan by Latin American and Caribbean countries in the panel entitled “International Tax Reforms During the Last Decade.”
