CIAT participates as guest speaker in SGATAR annual meeting
The Tax Administration Office of Australia (ATO) host the 44th SGATAR Meeting in Sydney, November 24 – 27, focused to the key issues of transparency and the seamless exchange of information; base erosion and profit shifting; capability development; and opportunities for collaboration.
During the meeting three Working Groups discussed the following topics:
• Addressing tax administration challenges posed by globalization an erosion of the tax base;
• Identifying and addressing risks around Multi-National Entities; and
• Opportunities for cross-jurisdictional automatic information exchange and analysis.
SGATAR is the Study Group on Asian Tax Administration and Research.
SGATAR aims to provide an opportunity for their member countries to get together annually and exchange information, ideas and experience in the field of taxation.
