The Regional Conference: Synergies between beneficial ownership transparency, tax crimes and the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing, sponsored by the EU AML/CFT Global Facility, GAFILAT, IDB and the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of Argentina, was held on November 7-9, 2023.

The activity included speakers from FATF, European Commission, OECD, GAFILAT, Nordic Center-BIS-Innovation Hub, IMF, World Bank, IDB, Global Facility, Harvard University, EITI, FCInet, APGML, Titularidad Abierta, and representatives of the governments of Colombia, Paraguay, Argentina, Ecuador, Uruguay, and Belgium.

On this occasion, the CIAT Executive Secretariat presented its vision on the needs and progress of Latin American tax authorities in relation to beneficial ownership.
