The XXIX Regional Fiscal Policy Seminar was held from March 23 to 24, 2017 in Santiago, Chile, organized by the Executive Secretariat of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), through the Economic Development Division.

Mr. Santiago Díaz de Sarralde, Director of Tax Studies and Research at CIAT, spoke at the session “Consensus and conflicts in tax policy” moderated by Mr. José Roberto Afonso, from the Getulio Vargas Foundation, sharing a table with Mr. Juan Carlos Gomez Sabaini, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mr. José Alberto Plaza Tejera, Director, Institute of Fiscal Studies of Spain, and Mr. Sangyool Lee, Director General of Customs and International Tax Affairs, Ministry of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea.
