DIAN of Colombia receives specialized advice from the National Customs Directorate of Uruguay under the CIAT-GIZ Cooperation Agreement
As part of the International Relations and Cooperation between the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) and the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), a technical assistance was provided to the DIAN of Colombia, organized in two instances. On December 14 to 18, 2015, two officers of the National Taxes and Customs Directorate (DIAN) of Colombia visited the National Customs Directorate (DNA) of Uruguay in order to evaluate the activities necessary to implement the Risk Management module of the LUCIA system on the DIAN computer services platform. Following this activity, on February 01 to 05, 2016, the National Taxes and Customs Directorate of Colombia received at its central office the visit of a delegation of four officials from the National Customs of Uruguay. The purpose was to initiate the procedures for the implementation of the Risk Management Module at DIAN, establishing a technical and functional plan to follow. This project is of great importance for the entity since it will facilitate the control of the Colombian foreign trade. This way, GIZ continues to support CIAT, promoting the exchange of professional experience and good practice among the administrations of the region.
