The deceleration initiated the previous year has shown its effects on revenue in 2023, with an accumulated average decline in constant values of –0.5% in the analyzed CIAT countries (-0.1% in LAC), although with an improving trend (mid-year, the decline was -3.3%) and high heterogeneity among countries (eight end the year in negative territory compared to the thirteen with a positive balance). By taxes, the average trend of the countries at the end of the year is very homogeneous, with a decline of -0.2% in income tax, VAT, and excise taxes, while Other taxes recorded the largest decrease, -3.5%.
