A work meeting took place on September 8th at the offices of Guyana Revenue Authority General Commissioner, Mr. Khurshid Sattaur and his staff, with Mr. Francisco Beiner, CIAT Institutional Development and Events Manager.

Guyana entered CIAT as a member country with the General Assembly approval in the Administrative Session last April 5th, 2011, celebrated in Quito, Ecuador.

At the meeting, the main activities that the Executive Secretariat performs in the yearly operative Plan framework approved by the Assembly were discussed. The dates, places and themes to deal with in the coming international meetings, the tax studies in execution, the working groups and their countries, and virtual training programs were also discussed.

Mr. Sattaur acknowledged the visit remembering that in the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) creation process, relevant information and support was provided by CIAT in relation with the organization, structure and functions of other tax administrations entities with autonomous management.
