Ms. Miriam Bonilla Estela Guzman has been appointed head of the Executive Directorate of Revenue (DEI). She is the first official appointed to the new administration of the elected President of Honduras, Mr. Juan Orlando Hernandez, and she will continue to lead the DEI office as she has done since October 2013.

Ms. Guzman is a lawyer. She served as Head of Registration at the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH), and then become Judge of the Institute for Access to Public Information (IAIP). She joined the Public Attorney Intervening Commission. She was also a member of the Presidential Commission on the issue of exemptions.
