New Study: Estimación de los Gastos Tributarios en la República del Paraguay: 2013 – 2016 (available in Spanish)

Tax expenditures in the Republic of Paraguay reached 2.16 billion guarani in 2013 and 2.66 billion in 2014, while amounts of 2.44 and 2.65 billion guarani are estimated for the years 2015 and 2016, respectively.

These are the results in the study conducted by the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) and the Secretariat of State Taxation of Paraguay (SET), which identified the main benefits and existing tax incentives in the country and estimated their tax cost.

This technical assistance could be carried out thanks to the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

CIAT has performed similar estimates in Honduras, Panama and Paraguay, and is completing one in the State of Tocantins (Brazil). For more information on technical assistance in this area, please write to the CIAT Director of Tax Studies and Research, Eco. Miguel Pecho (mpecho@ciat.org).
