During October 25-26, CIAT Director for International Cooperation and Assistance, Socorro Velazquez, participated in the OECD 4th meeting of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes.

The meeting attendees included officials from the 105 Global Forum member countries and jurisdictions, as well as officials from several international organizations. Some of the topics covered were: Global Forum achievements to date related to the G-20 agenda; and, technical assistance to Global Forum member countries in the area of exchange of information units. Mr. Velazquez reported on the outcome of the recent CIAT Ad Hoc Working Group meeting on the Study of Multilateral Exchange of Information models and the recommendations reached by the Working Group.
