On the occasion of the Electronic Invoicing Workshop, sponsored by the Tax Administration Service (SAT) of Mexico, officials from the Federal Secretariat of Revenues of Brazil, several State Secretariats of Taxation of Brazil, the Internal Revenue Service of Chile and CIAT visited the main SAT offices.

The officials had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the activities carried out by SAT in the area of taxpayer assistance. SAT uses advanced systems to provide these services either at its main headquarters or in remote areas.  One of its innovative programs is the use of mini-buses to visit taxpayers in remote areas and thus facilitate compliance with tax obligations as well as obtain the taxpayers’ electronic signature.
