Opening of the CIAT 2022 Technical Conference
On October 4, 2022, in Granada, Spain, the CIAT Technical Conference on “The Sapiens Administration: information and knowledge management to improve the prevention and struggle against fraud” was inaugurated, with the sponsorship of the State Agency of Tax Administration of Spain and the participation of delegations from CIAT member countries, international organizations, and other invited countries, in face-to-face mode.
Mr. Jesús Gascon Catalan, Secretary of State for Finance of Spain, presided over the Opening Ceremony and delivered the inaugural lecture. He was accompanied at the opening ceremony by Mrs. Soledad Fernández Doctor, General Director of the AEAT; Mr. Carlos Castagneto, Federal Administrator of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues of Argentina – AFIP, who recently assumed the presidency of the CIAT Executive Council for the 2022-2023 period, and Mr. Marcio F. Verdi, CIAT Executive Secretary.
