Who are we?
The Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) is an international public organization, non-profit in nature, established in 1967 with the purpose of strengthening the tax administrations of its member countries through cooperation, technical knowledge, and innovation.
Currently including 42 countries across four continents, with 32 from the Americas, five from Europe, four from Africa, and one from Asia, CIAT serves as an international platform for dialogue, exchange of experiences, and the collective development of solutions to contemporary tax challenges.
Over nearly six decades, CIAT has supported the institutional modernization processes of its members by promoting technical standards, best practices, and tools that contribute to more efficient, transparent, and equitable tax systems.
