Seminar’s closure of the first promotion of the Virtual Master’s Program in International Taxation, Foreign Trade and Customs
The Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations-CIAT- and the Externado University of Colombia, a study Center for 130 years, offer a Virtual Master’s Program in “International Taxation, Foreign Trade and Customs” in which tax administrations officials and the private sector from Colombia, Panama, Peru and Venezuela participate.
This Master has been the result of joint efforts between CIAT and the Externado University of Colombia with the support of the DIAN, whose expert officials collaborated timely at the design of the program. In addition, an important number of officials of that organization are among the students of this first graduation.
Wednesday, August 03, in the city of Panama, the opening ceremony of the seminar’s closure took place at the headquarters of the CIAT for the first promotion of the Virtual Master’s Program in International Taxation, Foreign Trade and Customs, which lasted for 3 days.
The event included a few words of welcome by Dr. Julio Roberto Piza, Director of the Tax Law Department of the Externado University of Colombia, there was subsequently some words by Dr. Olga Lucia Gonzalez, Coordinator of the program and finally, Dr. Alejandro Juárez, CIAT Director of Training and Development of Human Talent.
Subsequently, students presented their thesis and three (3) thesis progress reports were presented.
