Axel Radics

Axel Radics is the Lead Fiscal Management Specialist at the IDB in Washington D.C., specializing in fiscal decentralization and subnational governments. With over 25 years of experience in Latin America and the Caribbean, Axel has held various roles at the IDB, including Acting Fiscal Management Division Chief and Fiscal Management Specialist in Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, and the Office of Monitoring and Evaluation (OVE). Before joining the IDB, Axel coordinated a fiscal transparency program and an e-government initiative for Argentina’s national government and conducted fiscal research at CIPPEC and CEDI. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in Economics from Universidad de San Andrés, an MPP from Harvard School of Government, and a PhD in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park.
