Under the co-sponsorship of the General Directorate of Public Finances – DGFIP the CIAT Technical Conference was held on October 18-21, 2010 in the city of Paris, France

The conference’s main theme was “Improvement of the effectiveness of the tax administrations through new organizational models”. It is important to note the participation of 34 member countries, as well as a total of 39 delegations from other countries, international organizations and institutions with whom CIAT maintains inter-institutional relationships.

Following four days of presentations, meetings, debates and integration among the participating delegations, Mr. Luis Cremades Ugarte, Head of the Spanish Mission at CIAT, was entrusted the presentation of the final comments, covering the most relevant aspects of the papers presented by the various speakers.

This conference constitutes a great achievement for CIAT, not only because of the high technical level of the topics discussed, but also the significant participation and acceptance of this event by the international tax community.
