The Dominican Republic DGII advances to a simplified tax process in the framework of the CIAT-GIZ Collaboration Program
During the weeks of January 23 to 27 and from February 20 to 24, 2017, the Directorate General of Internal Revenue (DGII) of the Dominican Republic received at the central office a visit from the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (RFB), In order to carry out an analysis of the legal framework and application of the current simplified tax regime.
The objective of the consultancy was to review and reformulate the Simplified Taxation Procedure (PST) by designing an exclusive tax regime for micro and small enterprises, in order to identify opportunities for improvement of the simplified regime, which will allow designing tax-efficient simplified regimes and possibly incorporate them into the social security field.
