The Technical Committee formed by specialists from Argentina, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Spain and France, met at the CIAT Executive Secretariat on November 9-11 and developed the draft CIAT Strategic Plan for 2010-2013.

The Executive Secretariat had previously sent a survey to all the member countries asking for suggestions regarding the strategies for strengthening the organization. These responses which were received and processed by the Secretariat until last September 30, were provided to the Technical Committee and taken into consideration when drafting the aforementioned project. The latter will be submitted to the Executive Council at its meeting of March 1 and 2, 2010, for subsequent presentation for approval at the 44th CIAT General Assembly to be held in Montevideo, Uruguay, in April 2010.
