The EUROsociAL II Programme sponsors a technical visit from DIAN Colombia to AFIP Argentina on electronic control systems
Within the framework of the voluntary compliance line of action developed by the EUROsociAL II Program, financed by the European Union, on June 17-19, 2015, the Federal Administration of Public Income (AFIP) of Argentina received at its Central Offices the visit of an official of the Directorate of Taxes and Customs (DIAN) of Colombia, in order to share experiences and best practices in massive electronic control.
One of the main objectives of the tax administration in Colombia is voluntary compliance with tax obligations, through the construction of a model of electronic mass control that can achieve higher coverage, stability in the processes, solutions of self-assistance, etc. In this sense with the aim of strengthening the control of tax obligations, the DIAN has initiated actions to implement a massive electronic control model, and is currently in the design process of a computer service for this purpose and, simultaneously, evaluating a test pilot which was launched in 2014.
For this reason, the DIAN of Colombia requested to know the electronic mass control system of the AFIP, bearing in mind that Argentina is an advanced model on such systems in the region. This visit will allow the DIAN to apply techniques and best practices in the process of mass control to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the verification and control of tax obligations.
This exchange visit is a continuation of another made to Spain in 2014, sponsored by the Eurosocial II, in order to know the ZUJAR computer tool of the State Tax Administration Agency of Spain (AEAT) which improves the use of information and its integration into the electronic mass control system.
On this second visit, the DIAN Official has had the opportunity to observe, specifically, the development of the entire cycle, including not only the selection, but also the communication, evaluation and closing of the cases.
This activity is part of the action of Voluntary Compliance in the Public Finances area of the EUROsociAL II program, funded by the European Union, coordinated by the FIIAPP and in which the State Tax Administration of Spain (AEAT) and the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) are acting as operational partners.
