Chile – Increase in tax revenues resulting from the SII’s policy of cancellation of interests and fines
According to Diario Financiero, the effective income obtained by the Treasury as a direct counterpart of fines and interest forgiven to taxpayers during the first half of 2019 exceeded $238 billion, 24.1% more than what was recovered in the same period last year, and half of what was collected came from the large companies segment.
