CIAT contributed to the preparation “Taxation, International Cooperation and the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda”
We are pleased to announce that on March 31, 2021, the book “Taxation, International Cooperation and the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda“ was published by the United Nations University and Springer Publishing House, whose editors are renowned academics from the universities of Leiden (The Netherlands) and Ghent (Belgium).
The book features technical contributions from renowned experts addressing the link between international taxation, the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and strategies for strengthening tax revenues in the mid-term. It also discusses how countries and governments can strengthen these issues through their current and future international tax initiatives.
CIAT contributed to the preparation of the book in section 3 of Part II, with a chapter entitled “Global Tax Governance and Developing Countries” that provides a vision for the opportunities of the BEPS initiative in developing countries, with an emphasis on Latin America and the Caribbean.
This initiative is part of the GLOBTAXGOV project that investigates global tax governance, funded by the European Research Council and carried out at the University of Leiden (see the following link for more information on this project https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/758671).
