3rd Visit of the VIII graduating class of the Master’s Degree in Taxation, Foreign Trade and Customs of the Universidad Externado de Colombia and CIAT
From July 3 to 5, 2024, the closing seminar of the VIII promotion of the virtual Master’s Degree in International Taxation, Foreign Trade, and Customs, a program conducted jointly by the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) and Universidad Externado de Colombia, was held in Panama City. Officials from the tax administrations and the private sector of Colombia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Panama participated in this program.
The welcoming remarks were delivered by Alejandro Juárez, Director of Human Talent Development in CIAT’s TAs members, and Carolina Acosta Ramos, from Universidad Externado de Colombia.
In this seminar, presentations were conducted on current issues in the tax field by CIAT Executive Secretariat managers and officials: Alejandro Juarez, Director of Human Talent Development in the TAs; Gonzalo Arias, Director of Cooperation and International Taxation; Raul Zambrano, Director of Technical Assistance and Innovation; Santiago Diaz de Sarralde, Director of Tax Studies and Research; David Borja, Executive Manager of Operations; and Tiffany Reyes, International Taxation Specialist.
Dilia Palma, Panama’s CIAT Correspondent, and external consultants in international taxation, José Luis Galindez and Gerardo Herrera, also participated in the seminar.
Students of this master’s program presented their thesis works and progress during the seminar.
