CIAT visited the National Tax Service (SIN) in La Paz, Bolivia, between January 12 and 16. The mission reviewed the progress made by the Bolivian administration in implementing its information use systems and services, data governance, and process automation, with a focus on facilitating voluntary compliance.

During the visit, received by SIN President Jorge Zogbi and the executives responsible for the functional and support areas of the administration, progress was highlighted in the areas of electronic invoicing and online tax return filing services, and significant opportunities for improvement were identified in the automation and enhancement of several control and taxpayer assistance processes.

The visit was led by the Director of Technical Assistance and Innovation, Raul Zambrano, accompanied by consultants Antonio Seco and Victor Jimenez.
